FFL Transfers

Bought a firearm online or out of state? Have it shipped here. We take in the firearm, log it, run your background check at the counter, and you walk out with it — $30 per firearm, $20 for each additional, same-day when it arrives, and a phone call the moment it's ready.

A posted fee, not a running tab

The transfer fee is $30 for the first firearm and $20 for each additional one in the same transfer — long gun or handgun, background check or not — with no surcharge that balloons at the register. You know the number before it ships here, and it's what you pay at pickup.

NFA items you bought from another dealer transfer for $40 each, and that price includes fingerprinting, a passport-style photo, and the eForm 4 filing, trust or individual. NFA purchases made with us skip the transfer fee entirely — the filing is part of the sale.

How an inbound transfer runs

The seller ships the firearm to us against a copy of our license. When it arrives we book it into our bound book — usually within ten minutes of arrival — and call you that it's here. If the clock allows, you're welcome to come in any time after the call, same day included. You come in, fill out the 4473, we run the NICS background check, and — assuming it clears — you take it home. For most people that's a single quick counter visit.

How an FFL transfer works here

01

Ship it to us

Have the seller send the firearm to our FFL — we'll provide a copy of our license to whoever needs it. Give them our address and you're done until it lands.

02

We log it & call you

When it arrives we enter it in our bound book — usually within minutes — and call you the same day to tell you it's ready to pick up.

03

Background check at the counter

Come in, complete the ATF 4473, and we run your NICS background check. It's usually a few minutes.

04

Walk out with it

Once the check clears and the paperwork is done, the firearm is yours. Flat fee, paid at pickup.

Answers

Common questions

What's the transfer fee?

$30 for the first firearm and $20 for each additional one in the same transfer — no per-item creep and no surprise line at pickup. NFA items purchased from another dealer are $40 each, which includes fingerprints, a passport-style photo, and the eForm 4 filing; buy the NFA item from us and there's no transfer fee at all.

Do I need an appointment to pick up?

No — walk-ins and appointments are both welcome, and there's no need to book unless you're in a rush. Come by during business hours once we've called to say it's in, and we'll do the 4473 and background check at the counter.

Can you receive a firearm from a private seller, not just a dealer?

Yes. A private seller in another state still has to route it through an FFL, and we're happy to be the receiving dealer — same fee, same process. Just have them ship to us and include a note with your name so we can match it up.
